Creative Writing advice from Santa Montefiore

Today, Eaton Grange pupils enjoyed a discussion with Santa Montefiore, the best selling author, about how to improve their creative writing.  She gave lots of tips on how to create a setting, develop characters and make writing interesting for the reader.  It was a very useful session and we look forward to seeing some of our pupils’ names on the bestseller list in the future!

Year 7 – Sky Sports Living For Sport

Year 7 continued with their Living For Sport project on Tuesday, 17th June when they organised a sport session for the Year 2 children.

All the children worked together extremely well to plan, organise and run the activities.  It was a very successful morning, enjoyed by all.

Have a look at the video below to see what they did…

Eaton Grange – Cornwall 2014

On Sunday, 8 June, Eaton Grange pupils set off from school bright and early to their residential trip to The Lizard, Cornwall.

Our first stop was the Adrenalin Quarry – where we were invited to “jump off a cliff” on the longest zip wire in the UK.

Then sadly, the last day approached but the activities were not over.  We stopped on the way home at Escot Park for some Segway Olympics.

Then our last port of call on the way home was Stonehenge.  A very impressive sight on a beautiful summer’s evening.

All good things have to come to an end, but I think everyone will agree, we had a fabulous week.  Lots of sunshine and fun.  Also our Eaton Grange pupils were complimented on their behaviour at many of the places we visited.  Well done, we are very proud.  Thanks to Mrs Kennedy, Mrs King and Mr Rex.
